We have stayed here twice now and absolutely love it! Both times we stayed in the Pond (adults only) area - peace and quiet with a gorgeous view of the horses. June is so helpful and friendly and you couldn't ask for a better host. The best part is being able to light your own fire in the evenings and watch the sun going down. Will be staying again soon!

Hi everyone, we came down here from london with friends because we wanted to be away for 24h from the big smoke, crazy pace stress, ....

This was a FAN-TAS-TIC experience . Just a massive field to relax. I LOVE camping but not the kind of site with perfect aisles made of Tarmac, pitches with cut grass, .... so this was perfect.

I highly recommend if this is the kind of environment that appeals to you.

Also, great recommendation by the owner : the pub call "the Plough" in Upper dicker. Brilliant place.

We cannot thank June and Nik enough for a lovely long weekend spent at Oakfield Farm campsite. Although we made a very last minute booking, June went above and beyond to accommodate us in the perfect pitch (number 10) - away from everyone! Perfect from lounging around and late morning rises. £5 for a huge bag of fire wood is very reasonable and we enjoyed having the freedom to light our fire anywhere near our tent. Many thanks to all, we definitely hope to be back soon!

Love this site its so cosy and well placed for tents.

we just came last week and June managed to get us in and accommodate us to our needs.

The camp site has lovely views and walks to lovely pubs (Yem Tree and Plough Inn).

cant wait to come back

Fantastic weekend - cant thank you enough June for sharing your little piece of Sussex with us. Back to basics camping with the added bonus of flushing toilets and showers. Relaxing round a real campfire and listening to the sound of the animals around us (cows and sheep not other campers!), hearing the owl hoot above us in the night made for the perfect relaxing weekend for us. We will be back soon

I have just returned form a weekend spent camping here with my children.
We have had plenty of space, peace and quiet, together with a campfire and a milking demonstration that may have turned me into a convert for 'raw' milk. The facilities are clean and provided us with just what we needed and June's welcome was lovely.
Please don't change.
p.s, I see now Daisy must have been a figment of my imagination; sorry Pansy!

well worth the visit as its a great family campsite. its perfect for kids as there are no cars running about the site and the owners couldn't be more helpful if they tried.
its charm is quite simply the fact that its what a campsite should be with out social clubs massive amounts of rules and hidden extra costs(it has basic but VERY clean amenities). the kids loved the fresh milk which was made available and getting the chance to milk Pansy the cow.
the owners are doing their own fresh produce from the farm which has to be said is very reasonably priced so dont bother with bringing your own eggs, bangers and bacon because the stuff from the farm is far superior to anything a supermarket can throw up.on that note local shops are only a five minute drive from the site should you need anything as we did which was some new tent poles which we found in Uckfield.
will be returning next year as its a great location to explore the south coast and plenty of other attractions in close proximity.

Great campsite with basic but very clean facilities, flushing toilets with paper hand towels was a treat. June, the owner, was extremely warm and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed, providing us with additional logs for the camp fires which were a bonus on a family campsite. From initially worrying about not having the car adjacent to the tent, it certainly made a nice atmosphere on site with the kids enjoying running in the central field. Would definitely return.

A lovely campsite where we loved watching the 'huge' sky changing it's moods!
Thanks to June for making us feel so welcome, and for providing us with fresh milk for breakfast (which, by the way, was delicious!)

June was a lovely host, very accommodating and welcoming. The farm was in great condition with some beautiful horses, we camped in the smaller field (the other one was for families with children) and it was really quiet even though some people had dogs in the other field. The area surrounding it was great for walking, and had some lovely small villages where we stopped in at a few local pubs who were also just as welcoming! The coast was just a short drive away too for a stunning view of the white cliffs.
There is one bathroom each for male and female but there aren't many campers there, I didn't have to wait to use to facilities at all. Plus they were kept very clean.
We had such a fun time, especially in the evenings sitting around the campfire. We would definitely recommend this to anybody else and are planning to come back in the winter to see the Harvest moon as per June's suggestion! Thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

A great experience at Golden Cross 😃
A very warm welcome from June, who answered all our questions and queries upon arrival.
A quiet site with lovely grounds. Amenities (toilet and shower) were basic but after all it is camping so this wasn't a bad thing!
Thank you for a quality stay.

Lovely stay, thanks for the sun and the welcome. Perfectly laid back organisation.. Favourite touch was getting an OS map with local walks and pubs marked - Chiddingly pub benefited.

Fantastic camp site, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for making us so welcome and for working so hard to keep the facilities clean and tidy. We loved having a camp fire and were so pleased that our dogs were as welcome as we were. Will definitely book again!

Many thanks to Nick & June for a wonderful stay at Oakfield Farm. Both myself and my 2 boys loved it and found the 'basic facilities' to be very clean and tidy at all times... Nice flushing toilets and a little shower room was more than we expected! Plently of room on each pitch for the whole family around the outside of the field and even more room in the middle for the kids to play without being a problem for others. The added bonus of having a campfire to sit around and cook on was a brilliant addition and thanks for providing such an abundance of wood for us to use at £5.00 a basket. We'll hope to see you again soon (and Pansy the cow too)...

Went for one night which was great, we stayed in the family field and at first we thought loud kids etc but it was extremely peaceful and couldn't hear the kids even when playing. June was a great help as she told us the best spots for what we wanted and gave us great directions to Yew Tree pub (def a great walk) also June comes round with a huge container full of wood for your fires def worth paying the £5 for. The sleep was amazing didn't hear any other campers but did here cars from the road way every so often. in the morning they have eggs to buy and on Sunday fresh milk from the cow mmmm.
Will def come back as only 15 min from Eastbourne so great way to get a good trip in.
