Liked: A good campsite and as described on the website. Toilets were kept clean at all times and 3 showers were available which did the job. We loved the campfire and the open space in the middle in which the kids made friends and played games until it was dark and then came to the campfire to toast marshmallows! June was incredibly welcoming and came round regularly for a chat and to check all was well. Really enjoyed the cow milking and pigs on the Sunday morning. A real eye opener. We had clear skies at night which were amazing and because there is little light pollution we saw a huge number of stars.

We stayed in the log cabin a few weeks ago and it was perfect. The cabin is a real home from home, kitted out with everything you will need. The kitchen equipment was comprehensive and we loved cooking on the bbq and gas stove in the evenings. We spent the evenings cooking marshmallows over a fire and star gazing whilst listening to the horses in the next field. A very relaxing, cosy weekend in the cabin and June and Nick were welcoming and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Oakfield Farm. The perfect get away from the stresses of modern life. Children allowed to run free in the field as there were no cars to worry about. Made to feel very welcome by the lovely June - thanks for a brilliant few days.

As parents camping for the first time with out 20 month old, we found Oakfield Farm a perfect experience.

Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating.

We found the site to be very calm and had everything we needed for a nice weekend camping experience.

Thank you June and all for looking after us.

Ali and myself spent 4 nights in June's fantastic cabin.

We were straight away impressed with the tranquil location, cleanliness of the cabin (it was spotless) and the high standard of decoration. When June said all you need to bring is food and towels she was right, she has thought of absolutely everything!

Although the weather was pretty horrible for the first couple of days the cabin was warm and dry throughout, and a real home from home.

The weather did improve and then we were able to fully appreciate the beautiful location and the wildlife. We honestly did not want to go home!

We would highly recommend a visit to this lovely campsite and the beautiful cabin, and we will definitely be returning.
Thank you June.

Myself and my family and my sister's family consisting of 12 adults. 2 babies, 2 dogs had a fantastic long weekend. It is basic camping but there was loads of space for our four tents. Fires allowed which made the evenings. June the owner was very friendly and made us very welcome. A bonus for us was that a great pub was only a 45 minute walk away Farm made sausages and bacon - excellent. Clean loos and hot showers.

Lovely location and stay - clean facilities and hot shower. Love that you can have a fire! Plus lots of space between pitches which helps with noise.

Beautiful bell tent that was already pitched on site. Everything had been thought of and provided, you really don't need to bring anything! So comfortable, great nights sleep. Big pitches and super safe for the children. Very clean toilets and showers. Loved having campfires every night. Back to basics camping which we loved. Fresh air, open space. June was lovely and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Meat from the farm was delicious. Great location near to the coast and shops for supplies. Nice pubs nearby that are family friendly with play equipment in the gardens. We will definitely return.

Disliked: Nothing!

Nice friendly campsite. Basic facilities but clean and maintained. Fires allowed on ground and you dig your own pit. We had a pleasant few days there.

The shop supplies meat and eggs. One wish was it also sold marshmallows as we forgot them when we went shopping!

One minor annoyance is the car park is a long way from the main camp area. Though you can take your car on and off at certain times it can be a bit annoying when you realise your toothbrush is still in the car. I understand and quite like the fact that it means the kids are safe to play in the field, but I'm not sure why they can't use the other edge of the field, currently it was reserved for the disabled bay.
Also the sign to the campsite needs to be bigger and mention the name of the farm on... and maybe the phone number for June too.

Wow! We have just had the best weekend camping! On arrival the owner, June, was there to greet us and direct us to our pitch. We were provided with a map of the local area with pubs and walks.
The site itself is exactly what we wanted. Back to basics camping. Although there are hot showers and flushing toilets so not quite Bear Grylls!!
Being able to have a fire and BBQ was the main reason we chose this site and once the sun had set the sight of 20 campfires burning is beautiful!
June was an excellent host who went way beyond what was needed to make us all feel welcome and part of her farm. The kids had a brilliant time being able to run around the field without worrying about cars.
We will be returning next year with more of us and are also looking forward to the customary hug for "returners"

Thank you June
See you next year smile xx

Lovely campsite with lots of open space, clean loos and lovely hot showers. June, the owner, was terrific and gave us lots of tips about what to do in the local region. Brilliant location for the seaside at Eastbourne - June told us where to go for the best beaches. The Sunday morning tour of the farm and milking of Pansy the Jersey cow was brilliiant. The home-grown bacon and sausages on sale were delicious as were the eggs. We shall return! Thank you June for a lovely time.

We camped for a long weekend with friends and three kids, It was brilliant, it's no frills, no spills, good old fashioned camping.
There is showers, toilets and a water tap plus a place to purchase fire wood and farm produce but the bestest part is the fact that you can have an open fire and no one minds me playing my acoustic guitar smile
We are definitely going to go back, 100% recommended.

Probably one of the best farm camping (and camping in general) experience we ever had.
The camping field is very big and campers only camp around the edges (and the hedges) which leaves a massing space in the middle for kids to play and emphasizes this feeling of openness and wilderness.
It has everything you need, fresh tap with drinking water, clean toilet and shower blocks, meat and eggs for sale (June, the owner, makes all meat products herself, the bacon is particularly amazing).
On Sunday morning, She gives a talk about milk and farming in general, Kids can milk Pansy a very friendly cow, and we walk around the farm to observe the other animals: pigs, goats, horses, calves,...
It is also located not very far from Hastings or Camber Sands but you do not need to go very far to enjoy the surroundings.
June and Nick are the most welcoming hosts and you feel at home there.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your farm last weekend.

see you soon.

Boris

1st time family camping, it couldnt have been better! We got a bit lost on arrival and the lovely June stayed on the phone directing us to the right place! A lovely spacious grassy pitch with loads of space for us to get out the badminton and tennis rackets! Not having cars on the actual campsite a big plus with young childrenthe kids thought they'd be miserable without the PS4 and ipads but they had to admit they loved every second and didnt want to leave!
Toilets and shower simple but perfectly adequate and most importantly lovely and clean.A water tap also a bonus.Milking Pansy the cow on sunday morning and listening to Junes great chat about the milk was brilliant, i cant say ive ever thought about milking a cow but since our return ive felt compelled to tell all my friends 'i milked a cow!!' - i think i was more excited than the kids!!
I can honestly say that our weekend was fantastic - because it is basic and 'does what it says on the tin' we made our own fun, we laughed, relaxed and played together as a family and thats worth more than fancy trimmings!!
It was lovely of June to pop round on our second day to see we were ok, such a lovely helpful lady and she made us feel like we had known her for years!
Back home and back to 'normal' work and family life but all with big smiles thanks to June, Oakfield Farm and Pansy the cow - we will see you again soon and this time for more than a weekend!

The campsite owner June was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and had a great passion for her farm and for her camping business. We stayed in the bell tent which was set up for a family of 4. It had previously only been used for couples so June ensured there was everything a family with young children would need.
We were shown around the farm on Sunday morning and our son even got to milk their cow Pansy. This was truly a highlight! He loved it and was so proud! The bell tent itself was fab! I am not a seasoned camper but I loved staying in the bell tent. It was spacious, cosy and decorated beautifully! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book another trip in the near future. Thank you so much June and Nick.

Dear June

Thank you so much for welcoming us to your farm. We both enjoyed meeting you & our stay on the site. Everything exceeded our expectations & this was mainly due to your warm welcome & friendly manner. Next time we are hoping Tina Turner might make a personal appearance & shimmy from the Bell Tent to the nearest loos! Don't worry we'll be back another time soon!

All best wishes

Hi June and Nick,

We had a fantastic stay at your campsite, you and your staff were amazingly helpful and it was refreshing to meet a campsite owner who is friendly and approachable. All those who stayed last weekend thoroughly enjoyed the site, the local area and the ability to chill out uninterrupted.

The pitch sizes provided were more than adequate and was very nice to have some space to sit around a fire and hangout. Next time we shall try to book in advance enough to get down and see the pond area.

Thank you and your staff for a lovely peaceful enjoyable break, we will be back!

Thanks

Suzi

I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Oakfield farm. What a wonderful place to just get away from it all. Lovely people, June and nick, don't miss the milking demo and meet the animals on a Sunday morning. Fabulous.
Basic camping, but just what we were looking for. Perfect for children.

Beautiful place, amazing sunsets, look out for the barn owl.

We will return, without doubt. H
