Oakfield Farm at Golden Cross

For Camping in the beautiful East Sussex countryside, at the head of the Cuckmere valley, this 30 acre working farm is well placed for exploring the South Downs Country Park, The High Weald, Ashdown Forest, and the Sussex coast.

This East Sussex farm campsite has basic facilities, but there is a shop a five minute walk away and the market town of Hailsham is just 4 miles down the road.
Campfires are allowed, logs for sale, £6 a net, kindling with firelighters £1.50

No cars allowed in camping fields except for loading or unloading, so the site is safe for children. It is a couple of minutes walk to the sites from the carpark.

Tents: £10 adult per night, £5 children 5 to 15 years.
The Pond Field, we reserve this for adults.
Camping Field, pitches are round the edge of the field, leaving acres of open space in the centre.

We have a genuine Mongolian yurt for those who like a bit more comfort when camping, and a comfortable Log Cabin.

Cars must be parked in the first field, ONLY allowed further for loading/unloading.
Family friendly so children are very welcome.
Dogs are not always allowed as we have livestock, but please ask us.
Behaviour that offends or disturbs other campers will not be tolerated.
No loud music or boisterous behaviour, we want you all to enjoy the peace here.
Facilities basic, but do have clean flush loos and one hot  shower. This is a farm not a holiday camp so don't expect mown lawns, clubhouse, electric hook-ups, pretty lights, entertainment, etc.
We take re-cycling but anything else that you can't burn on your campfire you will have to take back home with you.
